SharePoint 2013 and 2016 have a bug with filtering List View Web Parts (XsltListViewWebPart) using web part connections.

This bug is not unique to FilterPoint - it occurs with any filter provider web part including other list views or the HTML Form web part.

Depending on exact circumstances the applied filter will be 1 step behind what the UI is showing or it may not work at all. See this video for a demonstration and this Microsoft knowledge base page KB 2924913 for confirmation

(Note - the Microsoft KB article above only references Task lists but the same problem occurs with other list types)

To work around this problem you should open up the configuration of the List View web parts on the page and under Miscellaneous check "Server Render" as shown to the right.

However - enabling Server Render has a side effect of stopping the lists own filtering (where you choose to apply a filter from the list header) from working - another known bug in SharePoint 2013 & 2016
