Configuration - Period

Auto

SharePoint Planner will work out the period to display depending on the data in the list. e.g. if your list has events covering a September, month will be displayed.

If you have recurring events set with no end date, the Auto option will ignore any 'no end date' recurring events that occur outside the time range of other events when determining the auto period.

From / To

SharePoint Planner will display a chart covering the time period entered.

From / For

SharePoint Planner will display a chart from the start date for X number of Days, Weeks, Months or Years. 

From Now

SharePoint Planner will display a chart from the current time, + or - a few hours for X hours.

This is useful for displaying the events happening over the next few hours.

New in Version 2.8.7

From Today

SharePoint Planner will display a chart from today's date, + or - a certain number of days, for X Days, Weeks, Months or Years.

This is useful for displaying the next 3 months of a project or a staff absences chart, for example.

Shift View

SharePoint Planner will display a view showing Today's date between the 2 times you enter.

This would be useful for planning shift rotas or resource usage such as room bookings.

This Week

SharePoint Planner will display a view showing the current calendar week.

The Full Week / First 5 days of the week / first 6 days of the week will pick up the start of the week from your sites regional settings.

This Month

SharePoint Planner will display a view showing the current calendar month.
