SharePoint Planner estimates the desired
size based on the Web Part Zone (header, column etc) that you place
it in, based on the most common screen resolutions.
You can
specify the exact size under the Appearance section of the
tool part by specifying Fixed Width and setting a value in
pixels.
Category Width
By default the Category column (if shown) takes up 15% of the
total width, but this can be set to an exact width in pixels using
the Category Width option under the Planner Appearance
section of the tool part.
