SharePoint : Sub-Site

Sub-Sites can be called Webs, sub-sites, or spweb. They are web sites that live underneath a site collection. These are almost the same thing as a site collection but the difference is the global settings that are applied from the site collection. They are created using a web application. Various site templates can be selected, such as Team Sites and Meeting Workspaces.
